About the author
Over the years, Kamea Bella began many stories, but it was during the pandemic that she fulfilled her dream of publishing her first book. She's driven by a desire for her children to see themselves represented as central characters in genres that have often relegated diverse voices to the margins.
Her love for book series with strong female protagonists blossomed with Little Women and Little House on the Prairie. The sweeping adventures of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, with its captivating medieval setting, The Lord of the Rings, Ever After, and Jane Austen's Persuasion cemented her preference for historical worlds over those of the future.
Balancing a full-time job, her role as a wife and mother, and caring for two rescued dogs, Kamea Bella dedicates her weekends and nights to writing. To recharge, she enjoys trips to the bookstore and leisurely walks on the beach, collecting seashells.

"Guys! Stop what you are doing right now and go read this beautiful book! Kamea Bella you absolutely mesmerised me with this book, thank you so much for choosing me to be part of your ARC team 🥰
I absolutely love this book! It had it all; mystery, family secrets, romance, humour and heartbreak.
Kamea’s writing transports you into this unique world so seamlessly that I often lost track of time or where I was when I was reading this 😅
I was instantly drawn into this world and was captivated by all the characters 🤩 While it is told in Lunara’s and Artin’s POVs, all the other characters are very well developed. I loved all the scenes where the princes’ were together. I was laughing my head off at some of their shenanigans! And I loved that Lunara’s finally found her family 🥰
While I did predict early on who betrayed Lunara’s family, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book.
Overall, this was a stunning book. I haven’t anything quite like it and I highly recommend it!" - Eleanor G.
"This book was fantastic and immersive! I enjoyed the vibrant characters and the storyline. The sweet slow-build of the romance, the unique set up, and wonderful characters! I can't tell you how much I recommend this story! Keep an eye out for this wonderful author and any upcoming books! They're worth checking out!" - Tracey B.
"I absolutely adore this book! It is a fantastic YA fantasy/historical romance with a well built ancient world full of royals and cunning courtiers. The characters are complex and so well written. I could not put this book down!
Kamea Bella based all of her characters on different Meyers-Briggs personality types and I really think that allows them to shine through more authentically.
I love the mental health rep in this book as well as the diversity of the characters. Lunara, the FMC is strong, clever, empathetic, and just. She was a breath of fresh air and I found myself really admiring her.
Honestly, my only complaint is that the book didn’t keep going! I was so enthralled in the story that I just didn’t want it to end.
I highly recommend this book if you like YA, fantasy/regency romance, mental health rep, POC characters, found family, he falls first. " - Ame M.
